Fill rate
Definition
The share of ordered units you were able to ship in full and on time, without cancellation, substitution or backorder.
Fill rate is the honest summary of whether your stock number can be trusted. Availability that looks high on paper but produces cancellations is not availability.
Measured per SKU it tells you where to spend on buffer stock; measured overall it tells you whether your operation is improving.
